Aging & Medication

Project Overview

How does aging affect use of medications? Aging makes your body more sensitive to medications, especially when combined with other substances like alcohol. This means that it takes less to create a risk of a medical emergency, such as an overdose or other harmful effects. This toolkit includes a brochure and four social media posts with captions sharing advice on how older Vermonters can stay safe. Health providers and other organizations are encouraged to copy & download the content to be shared around their community platforms.
